Working in TravClan was a roller coaster for me in the beginning. I got placed here through my college placement cell and that’s how it happened to be my first company ever. My plan at the start was to work for only a couple of months to experience what the corporate culture looks like and not stay for long and it’s been almost three years now!
Being the first female employee in the company has been a highlight which during that time preponed my intention to discontinue after two months to a month. My parents were worried thinking if I would be able to cope up with this environment. Moreover, I joined the Business Development role, wherein I had to connect with travel partners across the country and familiarize them with TravClan. TravClan was only months old and it was a difficult yet exciting challenge to onboard new agents on our platform.
I still remember reaching out to more than fifty agents in a day but was not able to convert a single agent for the first seventeen days. It was not always pleasant to see some getting so many conversions and me getting none for this duration but atleast we were doing better as a startup.

The best part through all of this was the support and motivation I received from everyone around me, all my seniors and colleagues were and are still so supportive that even ending my day at a zero somehow felt better. I still carry the same hope and motivation that if not today then I can do it tomorrow. I have permanently given up on the idea that sales is not my cup of tea and now as a Manager I understand how important that push was. Working here has been a remarkable experience.
Then on the eighteenth day my colleague Abhay gave me his booking for Visa just to motivate me and make me happy. This got me all set to achieve my targets. I felt attached to the company and the cause and wanted to reward them back for all the hard work, time and effort they were putting into me and since then there is no going back. I achieved and over-achieved my targets time and again, got the top performer awards, became a manager and grew in all aspects.
The journey so far has been full of opportunities, I met some wonderful people and can proudly say that we're all set to hit all the set future milestones to become the world's largest B2B travel company.
